Final Music Video Song...

After pondering the thought of what our music video is going to be, we have finally reached a conclusion. We hate our current idea. I think we were just scared of changing it, we have changed our idea too many times already. But our group are perfections; we wanted an idea that we all loved and that we could make work, and 'Changing' was simply not that. We decised to go back to what we were initially inspired by. Riptide by Vance Joy. We loved the video had a direct link with the lyrics.

Lyrics&Meaning

The song we're chosen has quite strong lyrics. We wanted to use this to our advantage, using the meaning of the lyrics for our idea would help emphasis the lyrics of the song. We came to this conclusion when doing our mood board. We looked at the lyrics and discussed what we though the message behind the song was and what we can make the theme of our music video.

Here's a little sneak peak of our mood board.

Tumblr Inspiration

Living in the 2014 technology and apps are rapidly developing. For a media student this couldn't be a better time. Apps such as Tumblr and Pinterest are becoming more and more popular. These apps have become a breeding down for different ideas, resulting in endless inspiration. So when we were pondering different ideas these apps were invaluable. Having finally chosen the concept for our music video I've found so many shots and photos on these apps that would suit our vision. These are just a few of the many that I would love to replicate something similar.

A Change of Plan

Since the last blog post a lot as changed. Mainly the song, we've changed from George Ezra, Budapest to Wilkinson, Afterglow to now to our final song Paloma Faith, Sigma. After posting we started to think how we could storyboard our video and what we would do. After we developed the final concept we realised that the song we originally picked didn't suit the concept as much as other songs would. We started looking at different songs we could use. We couldn't imagine any other song but Afterglow. The next  morning Foster tweeted a song that she thought that would suit our concept and we love it, so we have decided that we will stick with Sigma for our final music video.

The Song

After many, many songs send and received on our group chat, we kept all talking about a certain  song that we all really love. Before as we didn't really know what we were doing for our music video we were more focused on the idea, however now that we finally have got our lives together we have decided that Budapest by George Ezra will be the song we will use.
